Soal seputar tentang BIOS

1     1.   Jelaskan Pengertian Bios
Jawab : BIOS (Basic Input Output System)    


BIOS adalah singkatan dari Basic Input Output System. merupakan suatu software (ditulis dalam bahasa assembly) yang mengatur fungsi dasar dari perangkat keras (hardware) komputer. BIOS tertanam dalam sebuah chip memory (ROM ataupun Flash Memory berbahan Comlpimentari Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) yang terdapat pada motherboard. Sebuah baterai yang biasa disebut sebagai baterai CMOS berfungsi untuk menjaga agar tanggal dan settingan lainnya yang telah kita set pada BIOS tidak hilang atau kembali ke konfigurasi awal meskipun komputer dimatikan.


2    2.    Sebutkan Fungsi Bios
Jawab : Fungsi utama BIOS adalah untuk memberikan instruksi yang dikenal dengan istilah POST (Power On Selft Test) yaitu perintah untuk menginisialisasi dan identifikasi perangkat sistem seperti CPU, RAM, VGA Card, Keyboard dan Mouse, Hardisk drive, Optical (CD/DVD) drive dan hardware lainnya pada saat komputer mulai booting.

  3.    Sebutkan Macam-macam Bios
Jawab : 1. AMI BIOS
2. Phoenix BIOS
3. Award BIOS
4. OEM yaitu seperti merk dell, HP, Acer

4    4.    Sebutkan langkah-langkah mengganti setting Bios, Ketika kita akan instal ulang menggunakan USB/FlaskDisk


Jawab : Cara settingnya sangat simple, berikut saya sajikan langkah langkah setting secara umum. Harap diingat, tiap komputer berbeda beda tergantung merk BIOS yang digunakan dalam chip motherboardnya.


Langkah pertama : Tancapkan flashdisk yang sudah berisi sistem operasi pada port USB yang tersedia.



Langkah kedua : Reboot/restart komputer anda. Saat layar monitor berwarna hitam tekan tombol 'F2' atau 'Delete' atau "F10" tiap komputer berbeda beda, sesuaikan dengan komputer anda. Sekarang kita masuk ke dalam sistem BIOS.



Langkah ketiga: Cari menu yang berhubungan dengan kata boot / booting. lihat contoh gambar di bawah




Langkah keempat : Dari gambar di atas kita sudah menemukan menu untuk settingnya yaitu "Boot Device Priority". Gunakan tombol panah kanan atau kiri dan tombol enter untuk mengaturnya.



Langkah kelima : Setelah pengaturan boot selesai dan anda sudah memastikan untuk boot pertama ke usb flash drive, selanjutnya tekan tombol F10 untuk menyimpan pengaturan dan merestart komputer.



Mohon diingat, settingan BIOS tiap komputer berbeda beda tergantung merk BIOS yang tertanam di dalam motherboard.

    Catatan !! Anda bisa mengatur dimana ingin meletakkan animasi tersebut sesuai keinginan. Caranya dengan mengedit tulisan bottom (bawah), top (atas), left ( kiri), right (kanan). Contoh : jika anda ingin memasang di pojok kanan atas, berarti anda harus mengubahnya menjadi top dan right.
